The vaunted Salted Egg Yolk Croissant (SEYC) that had everyone up in arms when this seemingly unassuming bake shop didn't anticipate it's overwhelming popularity among locals.
It's the only thing anyone at this bakery cafe seems to be eating. The constant flow of customers into this shop ensures it never has to worry about a surplus, at least not until this salty sweet trend expires. At any point in time there is a line of customers armed with trays in anticipation of the next available batch. You'd think you were part of a breadline in depression era NYC except people couldn't wait (although they still had to) to part with good money for the rationed number of 5 croissants/customer.
