My Sunday was spent brunching in South London at the cutest little independent spot in Tooting. I am totally that person who can’t decide whether to go sweet or savoury so today I just went for both (and very very nearly finished both plates 🤦🏻‍♀️). With their gorgeous homemade sourdough bread the first thing I spotted when I walked in I knew I needed to order something that would let me taste a slice without having to buy a whole loaf to take home for dinner (and eat the whole thing obvs. Salted butter anyone?). First up, ‘The Peggy’: Poached burford brown eggs, smashed avo and butter beans, pickled shallots, chillis and finished off with sprinkled feta. I love beans in every form so this was a welcome variation to the smashed avo scene and I very much recommend.
