This porridge is just gorgeous. If you're picky about how your oats are cooked you might find that they are lacking a bit of chew, but the toppings make it all worth it. Pear, walnuts, soft goat cheese, a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of thyme set you off to an excellent start of the day or whenever you might be eating it. "Cheese in porridge?!?!" I hear you say. Dear friends, don't knock it off until you've tried it. The goat cheese in this one provides a silky richness to the flavours and complements the other toppings with ease. The pear came in pretty big chunks but was easy enough to split up with a spoon.
