My first bite of the bread pudding I said, "Oh my God" because it was so creamy and good.  As I tasted it further I could find small things to object to, but they are largely irrelevant. It's probably the second best bread pudding I've ever had. Maybe the third if I'm thinking of a particular one from long ago. I personally could do without the chunks of chocolate in the bread pudding. I think it added a richness that wasn't really needed. However I was having a Speedway Stout beer which has a chocolatey feel so I thought that might be a good pairing. The bread pudding also had butterscotch bits.  Those did compliment the bread pudding. All that was needed though was the creaminess of the bread pudding itself and that very cold scoop of vanilla ice cream on top that was impervious to melting apparently, but was able to give a very creamy element to cut through the richness of some of the other ingredients when needed.
