RASA MALAYSIA’S MALASADAS

My introduction to malasadas came in the form of a vintage pink box from Leonard’s, gifted to me by my first boss on Oahu. It was my very first day in Hawaii, and nothing—save perhaps the warmth of the people—could have felt more welcoming. After that, I would occasionally treat myself to malasadas from food trucks parked wherever I happened to find myself on the island.
It’s been more than a decade since I last had one, but today felt like the perfect time to revisit them. Not only is it Donut Day, but malasadas also happen to be this month’s bucket-list bake. While I can’t offer a side-by-side comparison with the originals, these fluffy AF malasadas from @rasamalaysia earn a solid 10/10 from me.
