I prefer to have Mornay sauce with my Croque madames, but this was probably the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had! The bread was amazing and toasted to perfection. The cheese was perfection. The egg was a little too cooked, so I didn't get as much of the gorgeous egg yolk dripping down. If the bread hadn't been so incredible, I would have been annoyed.
