REALLY GOOD
1st TAHINI BLONDIE
Lantana Shoreditch, London
Yes! A nutty hum from the Tahini adds a layer of deliciousness to this already caramelly, fudgy Blondie with choc chips adding extra deliciousness too. Yum!
2nd PEANUT BUTTER BLONDIE
222, UK
I picked this because I thought it was a Bread & butter pudding- but hey, Peanutbutter Blondie sounded amazing too! The Demerara sugar topping makes a crisp upper, but inside its soft, chewy, Peanutbuttery and studded with choc chips. Nice!
PRETTY GOOD
3rd GREEN TEA, WHITE CHOCOLATE AND APRICOT BLONDIE
Digby's Patisserie, London
This seemed like such an unusual flavour combo for a Blondie I had to try it! Unfortunately I didn’t get much of the Green Tea flavour. Chunks of white chocolate stud this fudgy Blondie and the apricot was an interesting addition, but my overwhelming impression is just “sweet”. #bakedgoods
JUST OK
4th MATCHA AND CHERRY BLONDIE
Sourced Market, London
Matcha? Matcha? Where are you, Matcha? I see your telltale colour but taste NOTHING. And what is with that thick layer of icing on top? No.
NOT FOR ME
5th LEMON CURD AND RASPBERRY BLONDIE
Sourced Market, London
“Lemon curd and raspberry Blondie” sounds delicious, right? So what happened? This is barely lemony, I’m not sure I found a single raspberry (granted I didn’t eat the whole thing *which tells you everything*), overly chewy and so flat! Is this even a Blondie. I feel like I would have been less offended if they’d called it a “slice” or “tray bake”...
