Not sure why this is called "yudofu" it's a fresh-made scooped soft tofu that's only sold & availablle at this factory location. It's almost always sold out but once you tried, you'd know why. It's silky smooth, a lil sweet, lighter & creamier than soft tofu, melt in your mouth. Just try, that's all I can say😋

Thus, the easiest way of savouring the yakidofu which actually is astuage(in 🇯🇵, called deep-fried tofu). Serve with grated ginger, sprinkle of green onion & sesame seeds(or furikake), then drizzle of shoyu. Cannot get simpler/easier than this. If cold tofu, I usually also drizzle some sesameseed oil for flavor. Since this is already deepfried(=oil/fat in it), omitted/avoided extras.

A bag of so-called "off grade" abura age(deep fried tofu puff), again, freshly made, straight from the factory. Can make cone sushi, nochi pouch, put them in a soup...so many various way to cook, but my ultimate fave is munch into the fresh-made one straight from the bag. Totally different from the one that's packed & sold at stores. More aroma, flavor & the best of all is you'd taste a hint of nutty/savory crunchiness outside, sweetness inside.

Freshly made tofu products from the one and only Aloha Tofu🤙🏽 After the legendary Honda Tofu in Wahiawa closed down, Aloha Tofu is now the only Hawaii local Tofu manufacturer that keeps serving locals with freshly made tofu products. Haven't visited the factory store for a long long time but glad I did, cannot beat the aroma & taste of freshly made tofu, aburage, and yakidofu.

Frozen Fresh Yuba from Kyoto 🇯🇵, another 🇯🇵regional fair at the store. Fresh Yuba texture & color are almost crape-like. Flavor-wise, versatile, just like Tofu🌱✌🏽

Looks soooo deceiving, makes you think this is just a plain simple cut tofu breaded & fried - WRONG! This is, actually like a croquette, tofu with other goodies, seasoned so well just reminded of me a cream croquette. Simply ONO😋

Unimaginable combination, whoever came up with the idea gets my credit. This Yuba(tofu skin) stewed in soy based cream with veggies is chowder-like tasting, Chinese take of creamy chowder, I must say. I wasn't sure of the taste, I only ordered one portion.(will get 2 next time I see this!) I'd have this with either a bowl of rice or with a piece of baguette😋😋😋

A bit off, appeared right, but when I tasted it, it was NOT agedashi tofu, rather like "an kake" tofu due to the sauce(vs broth). Plus the sauce was thick "sweet'n' sour". Hence, no point having all the flavorful toppings either...
