AMAZING
1st DINNER FOR ONE
Tane Vegan Izakaya, USA
L to R, Garlic Edamame, Agedofu, Point Reyes
REALLY GOOD
2nd INARI SUSHI
Marukame Udon Waikiki, Honolulu
A little sweeter than my liking ...
PRETTY GOOD
3rd YUBA NIGIRI
Tane Vegan Izakaya, USA
Sishi with yuba(sweet bean curd sheet)
4th CONE SUSHI
Sekiya's Restaurant & Delicatessen, Honolulu
Vinegar is on a bit lighter side to my liking but good enough to call it "sushi"🤙🏽
5th CONE SUSHI
St. Louis Delicatessen, Honolulu
My kind of cone sishi. What differ theirs is the seasoning. Can taste vinaigrette rice: ie Sushi. Cone SUSHI, not musubi, hence, has to taste vinegar in rice.
JUST OK
6th TOMATO NIGIRI
Tane Vegan Izakaya, USA
Looks just like the real ons but no, this is 🍅. First bite was kinda resembles 🍣 but as I bite into it, the real flavor(=tomato) pops up. Good for a "wow" factor but that's pretty much it...
7th INARI SUSHI
Hawaii Sushi, HI 96826
Inari Sushi should have vinegar in it, AND absolutely not be too sweet in my book. The reason for vinegar: Inari is SUSHI, and sushi rice supposed to be vinaigrette rice. The reason for sweet-less is also the same. Altho there's always a personal preference, the sweet/vinegar ratio can either make or break when it comes to inari/cone sushi. This inari is unfortunately the latter. I understand that locals love sweeter seasoning on almost anything, AND inari is not an exception, almost always sweeter at any of sushi place/deli I go, except at St Louis Deli. I don't see why this place is not opt for authentic🇯🇵 tho...😞
