Been ages since I had a Sunday roast. And beef is so difficult to get right (I am always a bit afraid it'll be overcooked) but this one delivered. No weak links, just a great plate of food 😋
Classic roast beef topside with roasties, potato dauphinoise, Yorkshire pudding, watercress and horseradish sauce. Not pictured is a dish of steaned seasonal veggies. Beef was cooked through (I prefer medium rare) but excellent potatoes. More gravy available on request.

Roast chicken isn't my go-to for a Sunday roast mainly because I think it's too liable to be dry. This plate didn't change that perception sadly. Breast meat was overcooked for my liking and the wing included was practically a crisp, which suggests it was in the oven far too long. On the positive side the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were good. But no white sauce or chipolatas on the plate despite being listed on the menu, which meant they'd run out. Not one I'd return to.
