BRIEF: “Pork, shrimp, lettuce, noodles, cucumber, and fresh herbs wrapped with rice paper. Served with a peanut dipping sauce.” SOOT’S TAKE: The guy who seemed to run this restaurant raved about these and said the dipping sauce was made-from-scratch. None of that hoisin stuff they serve elsewhere, said he. He was right, these rolls were some of the best I’d had in recent times.

BRIEF: “Steam rice noodle with Sugar Cane Prawn.” SOOT’S TAKE: Made a mess rolling these but thankfully they tasted way better than they looked. Herbs were the freshest and most flavorful I’d ever tasted.

These were kind of challenging and you’re only seeing the ones that didn’t have pork and vermicelli busting out of them rice paper skins. Thankfully they taste much better than they look. Let the summer roll on… 😅

With chicken and prawn. Better than my most recent order of gỏi cuốn (which was almost a week ago).

BRIEF: “Summer Rolls with Prawns, Grilled Chicken & Chicken Ham.” SOOT’S TAKE: My goto when I want a light meal.

It’s a well-made roll. Would’ve preferred a different dip though.

These were definitely missing the prawns I wish we had ordered with the summer rolls (they were all similarly priced) but for one of us wanting veggie. They just tasted meager, perhaps because they didn’t bother replacing the animal protein with anything besides perhaps more rice noodles. 🙄
