Firstly, gelato has less fat, air & sugar than ice cream, so it can be more flavorful. Secondly, wow! The tangerine is a true tangerine flavor, the Agreste is wowee. It’s made with locally grown marionberries,, ricotta & rosemary. It’s an earthy iced dessert.

The Wild-Foraged Berries in the sherbet were foraged by Tom, a master forager in the Pacific NW mountains. S&S uses whatever berries he finds, so each batch is a little different. This one has an intense complex berry flavor in a creamy sherbet. The Fresh Sheep’s Cheese & Strawberries Ice Cream cooks a sweet, fresh, mellow sheep’s cheese into a custard ice cream. Then fresh Hood strawberries, sweet & complex, with a short growing season & only available in this region, are roasted to bring out even more flavor & they’re swirled into the custard. It has kind of creamy, softly sweet flavor. Don’t you just love summer?!

Horchata tastes like a mild & flavorful horchata drink in a very creamy base. The Hood Strawberry has such a bright intense Hood Strawberry flavor! I love it! I finally got to taste Hood strawberries!

One of my favorites of their iced treats! Only at this location. Named after John Arbuckle who roasted 25 million lbs. of coffee a month in 1907 on the Brooklyn waterfront!. This recipe uses Stumptown coffee. Very flavorful. My only complaint is that lately there’s a bit of a gooey consistency as opposed to the creamy consistency at the beginning of last season. Then it was perfection! Note: as if 2019, it was discontinued.😞

The sorbet is made from intensely flavorful Tristar strawberries. It’s also quite creamy. The Labne gelato is creamy, tart & tangy. So good! Perfect combination on this hot, humid day or any day!

Tristar strawberries are deeply flavorful little berries & it shows in the sorbet. The gelato was super fresh & creamy, but I didn’t taste the raspberries.

It’s hard to believe that this rich, dark, creamy dessert is sorbet! But they tell me it is. 🤤

Coffee ice cream infused with Knappogue Single Malt Irish Whiskey and Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liquor with coffee soil mixed in. Swoon! 🤤 A sharp whiskey flavor greets you, followed by a deep coffee flavor. This is my new favorite!

The grapefruit was so true, like the best fresh tangy grapefruit you’ve ever had. The consistency was like sorbet. The dark chocolate was fantastically intense. It was creamy & rich, yet they say no milk in it! A magical mystery. Made in-house. (I added a photo of the full scoop of the grapefruit when I got it again the next day!)

Rich, dense & creamy Valrhona (intensely) Chocolate ice cream topped with fired meringue, all home made by Chef Bona! That meringue was so plentiful & creamy, it mixed deliciously with every bite. I suddenly had a memory of toasting marshmallows at our childhood backyard bbq!

Creamy vanilla soft serve with salty chocolate dip on top & inside. Mmm so good! The world melted away while I indulged.

Creamy rich custard with a fresh vanilla flavor. About 1/32 of a slice of Salty Honey Pie (by Four & Twenty Black Birds) is mixed in. The pie is also a custard, but with a rich round honey & salty taste & a buttery flakey crust! Oh my. Gotta get to that pie shop! (I can rationalize the calories because a percentage goes to charity, not of the calories- drat- but of the purchase price.)

70% cocoa solids. Nice & dark. Deeply flavorful & creamy. Satisfying!

Ice cream with moroccan mint tea & cardamom. There’s a gentle mint flavor blended expertly with cardamom “soil,” which seems like cardamom in tiny crunchy sugar crystals, but I’m not sure. It’s some kind of magic!

So creamy & fresh & bright! I’m in love! It seems like it came from a very special just-milked cow. 🤤😂

Coffee ice cream with whiskey meringue & smoked almond pieces. All the flavors & textures go really well together. More of a blend than a punch, but very good. Next day: The more I eat this, the better I like it! I’m changing it to Amazing!

Black Rasp Berry creamy & chocolate fudgy good!

Chock full of deliciousness! Intensely flavored coffee ice cream with brownie bites, chocolate syrup & frozen whipped cream. It really is a ready- made sundae! It’s between really good & amazing.

The lychee sorbet reflects its name well, but that mint Labne gelato tastes like there is a barrel-full of fresh mint in a very creamy gelato. I don’t know if I’ve ever had a mint ice cream, well, so minty!

When I ate the chocolate soft serve I thought “this tastes just like frozen hot chocolate,” not realizing that was the exact name! That was extraordinary or amazing as we say here. The Ube, which I was looking forward to had a good ube flavor but the texture felt a little chalky, hence the overall very good rating. I want to return for the ice creams: black sesame, Hojicha, Tai tea, milk tea, etc.

Oddly good! It reminds me of being in a pine forest while eating Rocky Road ice cream. 🎄😆 It’s actually pine needle infused meringue with white chocolate pudding with toasted almonds, all folded into their delicious dark chocolate ice cream. There was nothing hard in it, so it was probably pine needle essence!

Delicious tropical pineapple sundae created by @doriegreenspan & @malai_icecream! Proceeds go to @wckitchen. Not only is there flavorful refreshing Pineapple Pink Peppercorn ice cream & Lychee sorbet, but there was a cornucopia of fruit including strawberries, lychees & some sort of sweetened pineapple, drizzled with a (caramel?) sauce, sprinkled with crumbles & topped with airy whipped cream. The only element that kept it from being amazing was the too light & airy whipped cream. I prefer the rich, languid cream that is whipped. Rich chocolate ice cream mixed with Nutella & s’mores pieces, topped with their signature torched meringue, my favorite part. It reminds me of toasted marshmallows, but richer & creamier.

Matcha green tea coconut vegan ice cream with black sesame praline. Sharp green tea flavor with small pieces of gently crunchy black sesame praline. An original variation on classic flavors.

A very pleasant mildly earthy flavor in a very creamy base. Part of a limited 4-pint “capsule.”

Nilgiri black tea, lemon charcoal caramel. Yes, it’s ice cream! So interesting. I definitely taste the black tea, which lends a little smokiness to the flavor. That could be the charcoal, too! All the flavors blend nicely into a one of a kind fresh & creamy ice cream!

Sweet cream ice cream with deep fudge swirls & homemade black & white cookies. So fresh & creamy. Loved the fudge & what seemed like chocolate chips, but maybe that was the icing from the cookies. Although I’m not a big fan of cookies in ice cream, the cakey cookie was not bad at all. Still, give me creamy & chocolate crunchy & I’m happy!

Never had dark chocolate soft serve before! Both vanilla & chocolate were flavorful & creamy.
