Ok, so I’m a sucker for a good broth, and I placed this above all others, but seriously this little bowl of absolutely the best ever chicken broth I’ve ever tasted ever, comes as a side dish. That was definitely chicken soup for the soul, oh yes!

Finally!!!! This is real proper yummy Thai food! Non of that tourist nonsense 😂

Yes, it is green! This is an ancient Peruvian chicken soup with rice, potato, vegetables and this corn that tastes nothing like the corn I've ever had. It's very starchy almost like potato, and I like it a lot. It is said that it brings the dead back to life. Well I cannot say wether it was the coca tea or this intense yet comforting chicken broth, but I have definitely perked up a bit.

The great thing about Tom yum in Malè is that they don’t add anything extra, it’s just clean and pure from the fresh ingredients

This is why people come to this resto. It's quite funny, because literally every table has a steamboat of Tom yum on it. And everyone is busy slurping away or refilling their tiny bowls with the morsels of seafood, from their heated contraption. I got a bowl for one (although I have in the past ordered a steamboat all to myself, to the bafflement of the waiter) and enjoyed every last slurp. It is the epiphany of perfect Thai culinary balance. Savoury, spicy, sour yet sweet from the seafood. And they get it just right.

I can't remember the name ... Tomosomethingashi... basically a posh chicken and sweet corn soup. Love the theatre though.

I wasn’t expecting a sushi restaurant to do a good tom yum, but it was perfect
