The best xlb’s I’ve had

Well actually they are called deep fried dumplings of Berkshire pork. But... you know.... I felt I had to apologise to them before I ate them, because they were just too cute!

This was called something else, but it’s a crab claw in a dumpling with shrimp and bok choy. I’m finding it hard to rate these amazing dim sum in some kind of order. They were all really really good, not one better then another. 🤷‍♀️

I love a serene restaurant, and this one was just that. The music, the atmosphere, the service, everything made me feel relaxed and refreshed for diving back into busy Toronto. The food is of course really amazing, too. I loved the novelty shaped dim sum. It took a while to get the courage to destroy the little fella though.

#riceroll with #bbqpork at Gum Kuo #oaklandchinatown is probably the best I’ve tasted so far. It’s a texture thing. The riceroll is just a little bit sticky and guey, yet holds together enough to have a nice bit of chewiness. I think that is hard to beat 👌

OMG!!!! I could eat these all day long! It's only the second time I had them, but these were so much better then the last ones, which tasted nice, but these had delicious soup inside and the texture.... Wow wow Wow.... Juicy, melting, slippery mouth teasers, is what they are!

A first for me, and I totally enjoyed them. @CCC recommended I dip them in chilli sauce. There wasn't any on the table... But I've got some to take home with me and I'll enjoy them later with the chilli sauce. @CCC thank you again for all your recommendations, I have to go back to Soho soon and try some more!

It was all so delicious, I might have to go back later tonight to sample some more little dim sums! ;)

I do like a free appetiser. So thank you P. F. Chang's this one was very delicious!

I've been on the lookout for these for ages. Finally! They are just as delicious as I had imagined. But I did make a bit of a fool of myself trying to pick them up with chop sticks... How do you eat them????

Opening the lid on this was like winning the jackpot. One huge soupy Dumpling all for myself 😃 yummy too 😋

I don't know what they are actually called, but never mind that. They were phenomenal. Packed full of flavour and beautiful texture. There was even a tiny hint of spiciness. I could pop these by the dozen!

Whatchamacalledagain? Going to a Chinese dim sum restaurant... Probably not the best choice when you're looking for some peace and quiet and to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York china town..... But I got some soothing Chinese tea and yummy can'tthinkofthenamethings. Happy.

Always fun when the waitress looks at the European woman in great surprise as she insists she really does want those chicken feet she ordered... and these came in a herbal broth and they were delicious

My last favourite was at a London china town restaurant. But this one is the new xiao long bao by which all future xiao long bao's will be measured. Super delicious with lots of slurpy soup inside.

Went all the way to New York China town to get some of these lovely treats, but they hadn't got any ready. Only to find them 2 minutes from my hotel!

The filling was yummy but the dumpling skin was a bit chewy, although they did look kinda homemade, which is credit to them
