REALLY GOOD
1st COLD BREW TEA
CREAM, Petaling Jaya
Such a delicate tasting tea, with floral notes and hints of fruitiness. It sounds so cliché to use the word “Refreshing” but honestly, refreshing was the first word that popped into my mind when I took my first sip. I will probably make a terrible tearista 🤣.
2nd CHAI LATTE
Flour, Fire & Stone, Petaling Jaya
Hands down one of the best chai lattes we’ve had recently. Not too sweet and not too heavy on the cinnamon so you taste the other spices as well. Yumz.
3rd COLD BREW TEA
Kooky Cream, Petaling Jaya
Comes in either Lavender and Osmanthus or Rose and Cinnamon. The Lavender has a stronger floral aroma while the Rose was a little more delicate. Both were good and perfect for a hot day. Definitely would re-order.
4th MOKUREN GENMAICHA LATTE
Extraction - SS2, Petaling Jaya
A blend of artisan Kabusecha (Shaded Green Tea) and roasted brown rice. Slightly sweet with a warm, toasty aroma from the brown rice. There are not many places where I’ve enjoyed tea lattes as much as here. Often I find that it’s not blended enough, resulting in a gritty texture or that there’s too little or too much powder used which throws off the balance of the tea and milk combo. So far at Extraction, they’ve always managed to make it just the way I like it. This is my happy place.
5th HAWTHORN APPLE
Kojitsu Kitchen, Kuala Lumpur
This may be a bit of an acquired taste but I really enjoyed it. Not everyone did… *** Private kitchen, strictly by reservations only.
PRETTY GOOD
6th ICED LEMONGRASS TEA
Union Roastery, Petaling Jaya
Not gonna lie, I really enjoyed this... even after I realized it’s probably made with a powder mixture 😂.
