With cucumber granita, burnt pineapple, verbena, seeds. Heavenly!!!
3rd THE EGG
Grace Patisserie, Wellington
I am so glad they decided to offer this dish even after the WOAP festival so I finally got to try it. Delicious! ❤️
6th PRE-DESSERT
L'Arcane, Paris
OMG this was amazing. Pistachio pannacotta with mirabelle. The green sorbet is made with parsley, spinach and lemon. So perfectly done! Loved it!!! So far this is the best restaurant I've been to in Paris! Every dish from the amuse bouche has been outstanding!
7th GOAT CHEESE FLAN
Amelia by Paulo Airaudo, Donostia
I have a soft spot for goat cheese and this one is so light!
8th CREPES WITH ORANGE AND CARAMEL SAUCE
Ortega, Wellington
Still an outstanding dessert in my book. Doesn’t disappoint.
8th CREPES WITH ORANGE AND CARAMEL SAUCE
Ortega, Wellington
Couldn’t resist. Absolutely love this. I felt so guilty and confessed to the owner I had dinner next door and only having dessert ☺️.
9th PISTACHIO CAKE, SAKE, BLUEBERRY, CHEDDAR
Bar Magda, Auckland
Omg this was a wonderful end to my dinner. I loved this. Perfectly balanced with the slight bitterness from the sake white cream stuff, sweet blueberry jam(?), salty grated cheddar on top.
10th PINEAPPLE, MERINGUE
Restaurant Soléna, Bordeaux
This dish sounds simple but it was sublime. The crunch of the meringue, ice cream, softness of the whipped cream with just a hint of chocolate, the sweetness and freshness of the pineapple worked so well. The kind of dessert I love. Different textures and temperature.
11th WHITE TRUFFLE, PORCINI, CREME FRAICHE, HAZELNUT CAKE
Atlas, Wellington
I loved this! Never imagined the combination but it worked for me. A winner! My only complaint is the serving was a bit on the small side. Could’ve been more generous.
12th GISBORNE YUZU SORBET, MERINGUE, CITRUS AND BLACK SESAME CRUMB AND CHANTILLY
Bellamys by Logan Brown, Wellington
I loved this. I’m glad the burger wasn’t huge and I was able to fit in dessert. $15
13th BAKED TOFFEE CUSTARD
Social Kitchen, New Plymouth
This was the highlight for me. It had the right sweetness and made me so happy. 🥰 A must-have again!
14th RASPBERRY SORBET
L'Arcane, Paris
Perfect end to my best lunch in Paris! The cream at the bottom is made from Gruyere and I didn't know it was an actual place and not just a cheese.😂
15th ICE CREAM
Pierre Sang in Oberkampf, Paris
Omg this dessert was fantastic. Fresh pineapple, coconut wafers, pineapple sorbet, lemon leaves cream (I thought it was kaffir lime).
16th PINEAPPLE ICE CREAM, COCONUT
La Condesa, Paris
The fresh pineapple is soaked in Cambodian peppers. A wonderful end to the degustation. The dishes were inspired from multiple countries, from Mexico to Scandinavia, India, Asia.
17th PEACH SORBET
Bellamys by Logan Brown, Wellington
With stonefruit salsa, yoghurt mousse and mint. So good!!! Loved it!
20th TAPIOCA W/ ORANGE COCONUT MERINGUE
Azabu Ponsonby, Auckland
With spiced apple, honeycomb, passionfruit puree and miso vanilla ice cream. Absolutely divine!!!
21st GREEN TEA ICE CREAM
Mr. Wong, Sydney
With salted white chocolate mousse, yuzu custard, pomelo and citrus meringue. Absolutely delicious!!!
22nd DESSERT
Cuisine Wat Damnak, Krong Siem Reap
Sour dough waffle with jackfruit, toasted sesame and pandan whipped cream
23rd RASPBERRY TARTE
Patisserie Academie, Brugge
I don't know what it's really called in Flemish and I ate it all before taking a photo. 😂 It had fresh raspberries on top and a light cream inside on a crisp and perfectly textured base. So delicious!
