AMAZING
1st THE FONZ
Dog Haus Biergarten Northridge, Los Angeles
MUCH better this time. I do like The Cowboy better though.
1st THE FONZ
Dog Haus Biergarten Northridge, Los Angeles
spicy italian sausage, pastrami, melted mozzarella. Delicious!
1st THE FONZ
Dog Haus Biergarten Northridge, Los Angeles
Wth?! I didn't realize until I saw my previous reviews that this is supposed to have melted mozzarella on it, not cheese sauce! No wonder I wasn't impressed this time. Boo!
3rd THE FONZ
Dog Haus Canoga Park, Los Angeles
Hot italian sausage, pastrami, melted mozzarella. A thing of beauty. 😍
4th ORIGINAL SAUSAGE PLATTER
Wirtshaus German Restaurant & Beer Garden, Los Angeles
Switched out the chicken sausage for kasekrainer (sausage stuffed with ementaler cheese), along with spicy (yeah it was!) Sausage and traditional bratwurst.
5th WURSTPLATTE
Wirtshaus German Restaurant & Beer Garden, Los Angeles
This is the regular platter. It had traditional, veal, spicy and chicken sausages. Everyone likes spicy the best but I thought the veal was good too. We didn't get a picture of it, but we also got a more exotic sausage platter with duck, Buffalo, Boar and kasekrainer (which is a smoked pork sausage filled with chunks of emmentaler cheese). The kasekrainer was my favorite. The duck bacon sausage was kind of dry and I didn't like that one very much but overall all the sausages were really good.
6th THE PIG AND FIG SAUSAGE
Dog Haus Canoga Park, Los Angeles
Emmentaler cheese-stuffed sausage, fig & onion relish, wild arugula, whole grain mustard aioli, sliced almonds. Amazing! It was a little too sweet for my husband, but I loved it!
8th WILD BOAR ANDOUILLE
Blue Palms Brewhouse, Los Angeles
Great flavor! Menu says lean, but it is not at all dry.
9th SAUSAGE
Matt's BBQ, Portland
Regular and jalapeño cheddar
10th SAUSAGE SAMPLER
Maginns Pub, Santa Clarita
Irish sausage and a spicy Hungarian sausage
11th THE MELTDOWN
Vicious Dogs, Los Angeles
A bacon wrapped kielbasa link with chopped onion rings and melted mozzarella cheese. Sausage was great!
12th IRISH SAUSAGE ROLLS
The Auld Chip Shop, Burbank
The gravy was good but a little thin which made it hard to stick to the sausage.
13th CAJUN SAUSAGE
The Crabby Crab, Los Angeles
You can add this to your seafood. We got it in the same sauce - mild Cajun. Super yummy
14th SAMPLER PLATE
Brats Brothers, Los Angeles
4 mini brats: Hungarian, Black Forest, German and Swiss with a pretzel and Grandma's Sauerkraut. Great way to find what you like. Mine is definitely the Hungarian... Spicy and flavorful.
15th SAUSAGE LINK
Heritage Barbecue, San Juan Capistrano
A little spicy with cheese in the middle
16th SPICY ITALIAN BRATWURST
Blue Palms Brewhouse, Los Angeles
Garlic, Fennel, Spices. It's not spicy at all, but the fennel is very pronounced. Great proportions with the bread and the bread was nice and soft.
PRETTY GOOD
19th BBQ 4 PIECE BEEF HOT LINK SLIDERS
Delicious at The Dunbar, Los Angeles
Sausage and construction is good, but not better than what you can buy at the store.
20th HOT ITALIAN
Brats Brothers, Los Angeles
Pork and Italian Spices. Topped with Bacon. Got it with Beef Chili and Bavarian Tots.
21st SMOKED SAUSAGE
Gus's BBQ, Los Angeles
There was nothing stand out about this sausage but it wasn't bad
22nd MAANEH
Mediterranean Bistro, Los Angeles
Pan fried lebanese beef sausages with pine nuts, cilantro, garlic, and lemon juice.
JUST OK
24th HOT TEXAN
Brats Brothers, Los Angeles
Spicy Smoked Beef. Got it with the Cheese Spaetzle (egg noodles with swiss cheese and onions) and Bratkartoffeln (pan fried mini potatos). Not very spicy and too much bread to brat ration...
25th SAUSAGE (SMALL PLATE)
The Nest: A Breakfast Joint, Bellflower
There are two of these patties in a small plate and this is the same sausage that they use on the classic fried sandwich. It's a nice size, but it has very little flavor.
26th SAUSAGE SAMPLER
Story Tavern, Burbank
The name is a bit misleading... It is 2 "grilled" sausages cut up and served with 2 mustard and pickles. Good, but just one kind of sausage.
27th LAO SAUSAGE
Kop Jai Lai, Los Angeles
Texture was too dry. Ground pork, shallot, garlic, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, black pepper and chili peppers
