Apparently, this used to be on their menu but they removed it during the pandemic when they scaled back. They are making it this weekend as a special until they run out. This was the best thing I had here, so it's too bad you can't get it. Maybe they'll add it to their menu when they move in 2 weeks to their new location. Tender pork belly with some crispy bits under a lovely chili verde with some great citrus notes and the fried eggs on top.
Crispy tortilla chips tossed with both red and green sauces. It was great to try them side by side. My husband loves the red sauce but I prefer the green ( which is less spicy). I need to remember to get Chilaquile Verde with carne asada next time. I think that will be the perfect combination for me. I liked the flavor of the beans but the rice is no bueno.
This is a very different take on chilaquiles which used two tostadas that were sandwiched around above and under all the other ingredients. Carnitas, black bean, fresno pepper, cabbage, avocado, cotija. This was my husband's favorite dish. We were pleasantly surprised that all the ingredients tasted great together. There's a little too much cabbage and the tostadas were not my preference for chilaquiles.
With green salsa (you can also get red salsa). I added Steak Ranchero. The steak had a gristley spot, but otherwise was tender and tasty. Refried beans were really good! Hash browns were crispy (per request). The only problem was rhe tortillas... they were a little too chewy and almost impossible to get a fork into. I would get it again though to see if that was an exception.
Top Sirloin steak with onions and peppers served with two eggs, rice, beans and choice of tortillas. The steak was cooked perfectly, but the cut of me was not flavorful. Sorry, I'm very spoiled when it comes to steaks 🤣
Traditionally machaca uses chunks of beef that are shredded and mixed with the eggs. This head slices of roast beef that were cut into strips and mixed with the scrambled eggs. It wasn't what I was expecting so I was a little disappointed.
It was fine. The rice was Minute Rice, but at least it didn't have vegetables in it. This place doesn't seem to have a lot of scratch made food. Almost ordered the corned beef hash until we were told that it was from a can. 😝
Shredded beef, scrambled eggs, tomatos, onions, red and green bell peppers. Comes with choice of potatoes and corn tortillas. Not seasoned. Just okay. Corn tortillas ( they make) were good.
So many things wrong... The carne asada was impossible to cut. It was a completely hammered steak. if you're going to serve me uncuttable steak, then you should at least cut it into little pieces to hide the poor quality. The verde sauce was very acidic and they drowned the chilaquiles in it.
Traditional Mexican breakfast dish. Corn tortillas cut into quarters lightly fried sautéed with red salsa and topped with queso fresco, sour cream, onions and cilantro. Egg added.
