squid ink, lemon. Still THE BEST calamari. So crispy and light and juicy... They are addictive. We decided that we will have to order these like we order soup dumplings: one order per person TO START!
in squid ink. I didn't think it looked good in pictures. I thought it wouldn't be crispy. I was so wrong. It has such a thin coating, but it is crispy and amazing! The best calamari we've ever had.
Wow! Super tender. Comes with cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. The tartar sauce was delicious and both dips were great. One of the few excellent calamari dishes we've tasted. #dineLA
plum sauce, peanuts, bell peppers, steamed white or brown rice. Really interesting. It was an appetizer, but didn't seem like it. It's even served on rice. We ate it all though!
Sine they are in squid ink and also from an Antonia Lafaso restaurant, we thought that they would be the same as the dish at Scopa Italian Roots. It wasn't. It was the latin version covered in cilantro and jalapenos... You couldn't even see the calamari! There was also a lot of citrus flavor (probably lime juice). It was spicy but not as incredible as the ine from Scopa.
It was fine. No tentacles. ☹ "lightly breaded". If you're going to have less breading, you need really fresh and tender seafood... that was not the case. But it was FINE
