REALLY GOOD
2nd HANDMADE ALLGÄUER KÄSSPATZEN FROM THE HEISSER HOBEL TRUCK
Kreuzberger Musikalische Aktion e.V., Berlin
Käsespätzle doesn't get better than this. The lads make it fresh on site. The cheese (Allgäuer Bergkäse 6 +12 year old and a 4 month old Emmentaler) used comes from their family run organic cheese farm the 'Obere Mühle' in Bad Hindelang, Southern Bavaria. Other ingredients are supplied by Regiotopia which supports local organic businesses. The spätzle is topped with black pepper and fried onions and chives. Yummmm! The guys are almost as yummy too ;p

Käsespätzle with caramalised onions and a small salad. Tasted lovely, quite filling and delicious.
PRETTY GOOD

I’ve had this before here and it was pretty damn good. This time it wasn’t as good as last time sadly
6th KÄSESPÄTZLE WITH SALAD
Phoenix Lounge, Berlin
It's usually good but I found it a bit greasy today, sad because I was looking forward to it!

In an edible basket how thoughtful!
NOT FOR ME
8th KÄSESPÄTZLE MIT SPECK
Joseph-Roth-Diele, Berlin
I was really looking forward to this dish. I love Spätzle and it looked great but I was bitterly disappointed with the very first bite. Not sure if it was an off day or not. It was bland, well if you don’t count the slight bitter after taste and rubbery in texture. The only thing that made up for this disaster was the live music. It was such a let down of a meal. The atmosphere and service were both lovely. I wanted to love this but sadly I couldn’t even say I’ve had better spätzle, it was just simply the worse I’ve ever had! Bland and nothing comforting about it at all. Our entire party were pretty much disappointed with the meal. We arrived happy as Larry and left looking for a bar!
9th KÄSESPÄZLE
Gasthaus Gottlob, Berlin
My friend had this and unfortunately it was a bit disappointing, quite bland. sat on a a mixed vegetable base which featured far too many spring onions in a flourly thick sauce, then topped with melted cheese... Should have been a called an auflauf really :(
