Pasta makes me so happy! šŸšŸ˜ā£ Especially when it's freshly made and al dentĆ© like this.@pastificioaldenteā£ ā£ Al dente means "to the tooth" in Italian (my Italian friends please correct me if I'm wrongšŸ¤“) and the pasta needs to have that firm bite to be called as al dente. I'm absolutely a huge fan of that texture. ā£ ā£ @eastldngirl_foodieblog did a great event at @pastificioaldente and I have to say the food was amazing at very affordable prices. ā£ ā£ Definitely will go back here again šŸšŸ˜ā£ ā£ My favourites from the menu: ā£ -Tonnarelli caccio e Pepe ā£ -Green tortelliniā£ -Penne Pomodoro/arrabbiata ā£ ā£ ā£ It was also lovely to meet: @loraproudy, @brunchlunchlondon, @theveryhungrycharlotte, @certifiednosh, @whoismilly, @littlelondonwhispers, @brymorgannaĀ šŸ¤—šŸ’•ā£ ā£

Holy mother of... the Pasta God!! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ This is a three egg yolk, straight-up proper Carbonara made with GUANCIALE (cured pork cheek) instead of the more common (but incorrect) pancetta. And my, is it truly amazing. Firm spaghettoni, with pecorino romano cheese (instead of parmesan... again, more common but incorrect) and combined with skilled technique and know-how... and the rest is history. The best Carbonara in all of London. šŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’Æ
