I thought this was a toothache in the making, but the caramel is suitably salt-balanced and the chocolate isn’t too overwhelming. The bun itself tastes just like the Starbucks cinnamon swirls.
The usual costa bun recipe but with some icing and a cherry. It’s a bit like Malibu Stacey, now with a hat!! But it’s a pretty tasty bun so I’m not going to complain too much.
I think this would have tasted great if it were fresh from the oven, but as it was, it was a bit tough going and the choc chips were very bitter. The small man didn’t finish it (which says a lot)
