REALLY GOOD
1st DUCK HASH
The Trading House, London
This was delicious! The duck meat rich, soft and flavourful; the gooey egg yolk adding to the deliciousness. My complaint would be that it wasn’t the easiest dish to eat - the serving dishes/bowls were all a bit too small to eat from with a knife and fork, and there wasn’t really anywhere to cut up the long stems of broccoli so it wasn’t the most graceful of meals...
2nd ROAST DUCK LEG
Mari Vanna, London
Slow roasted duck leg, a curiously spiced salty, sweet, appley sauce. It was so interesting and so tasty! Mash was lovely too.
3rd DUCK LEG CONFIT
St Julians Club, Underriver
Love a good confit Duck leg! It was deliciously soft and so tasty. One complaint is that I found a lot of whole cloves in the sauce, and those are quite an unpleasant flavour-bomb if you bite them!
5th DUCK LEG CONFIT
Brasserie Blanc - Threadneedle Street, London
The skin was a little tough on this, meaning you couldn’t quite get that fall apart forking texture. However it was still a really tasty dish!
PRETTY GOOD
6th DUCK BREAST
The Yacht London, London
Pretty tasty dish, the duck skin wasn’t crispy but it was otherwise nicely cooked and the accompaniments and sides we ordered were all lovely.
