11th BENEDICT JOHNNY
The Smith, ChicagoSigh… a jalapeño cornbread is baked into the bottom of the skillet and is entirely overdone, and the parts to the correct doneness in the middle did not have an appetizing flavor. The maple chicken sausage was the star here with tons of flavor, a wonderful blend of salty, savory, and sweet. The poached eggs were very rich and decadent, with the runny yolks pairing very well with the sausage. The hollandaise sauce was very rich and creamy, but definitely lacked flavor and salt. Overall, a big disappointment in a small brunch skillet.
