Made with a simple syrup of 🍊 zest, Patrón tequila blanco, juice of calamansi and of course, 🍉. So refreshing in this sweltering heat.

Today’s excuse to drink the tropics (+tequila). Happy National Margarita day! Also a great way to dispose of a whole lotta passionfruit.

Forget your classic frozen mango marg. Adding passionfruit to the mix makes it ever-so-slightly more delicious.

It’s National Margarita Day, I have leftover strawberry jam from when I made sufganiyot, and I’m rarely not in need of a drink. The strawberry jam really comes through in this one. 🍓

Happy National Margarita Day! I think the combination of lemongrass and OJ helped counter the harsh liquid detergent taste I often perceive and associate with lime juice in classic versions. I tried one version with mezcal and another with tequila blanco and ultimately preferred the latter, although I wish I could have teased more lemongrass out of the homespun simple syrup I had to concoct for this. Perhaps I’ll sub sparkling water for some of the OJ and lime juice next time? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Can mangoes be so juicy they’d probably be better drunk? Yassss…
