Celebrating passion fruit with this tangy on tangy infusion of home brewed kombucha, a wonderful vehicle for showcasing this ambrosial fruit.

This may be my favorite among their line (except maybe their triple berry I have yet to try and which wasn’t available) that I have tried. It is pleasantly berry-tasting and fizzy (which I can’t say of any of the other flavors I’ve tried so far).

Happy National Beverage Day! I think it’s fair to say that the beverage of 2024 for Sooty M is home-brewed kombucha (as late to the game as I’ve been), for there’s a ton of tea yet to be dumped (into my brewing jar) with the glee of a colonist and a multitude of flavors to explore and dispose off from the fridge…

What I managed to salvage from experiencing my first kombucha geyser today. The kitchen sink got some (actually most of it) , my shirt got some, and thankfully my gut got some as well.

After a few too many hiccups….my first brew! FINALLY!

BRIEF: “Infused with the mood-lifting properties of tropical pink guava, this refreshing 'booch’ of green and oolong tea is the perfect way to do good and drink good.” SOOT’S TAKE: Refreshing it was for dehydrated me, with the lovely taste of pink guava still lingering on my tongue.

BRIEF: “Delight your tastebuds with a slightly sweet and strong tropical fruit taste of Pink Guava! This Pink Guava Kombucha will surely spark likes from you!” SOOT’S TAKE: The best of the ÜNIIQ range. Bursting with pink guava flavor, doesn’t taste like vomit, and just downright refreshing!

BRIEF: “If sunshine could be bottled up, look no further because you've found it! Transport yourself to paradise with this 'booch of floral oolong tea paired with the ripest passion fruit for a delightful citrusy buzz. Now you can discover how happiness truly starts from the inside out.” SOOT’S TAKE: My first taste of kombucha and it is surprisingly pleasant! I‘ve always thought it would taste medicinal or weird but this is far from it. It’s like soda but better for not being cloyingly sweet. Perhaps the passion fruit also helps?

My first kombucha purchase on the red dot, and mostly because I wanted the bottle + it was on sale. It’s pleasantly berry-tasting (none of that artificial or vomity taste!) but not as carbonated as I would prefer.

Happy World Kombucha Day! After a number of failed attempts over 3 or so weeks, I think I’ve come somewhat close to recreating WILD’s version (apart from color and carbonation level). 🧐

BRIEF: “Let your taste buds bloom with a tinge of elegant and romantic scents that delight the mood.” SOOT’S TAKE: Thankfully, the vomit-y taste wasn’t obvious and I could even detect a hint of rose!

BRIEF: “A tart and sweet combination of lemon, lime and orange that lends a citrusy twist to lift up your day.” SOOT’S TAKE: I taste no calamansi or any other citrus for that matter. If it exists, it is completely overtaken by the overwhelming taste of vomitus 🤮

Got this to try coz it went on sale today and quite frankly, because I wanted more of these bottles to experiment with. The tea itself was very light tasting and devoid of fizz.

My least favorite of their line. But at least I get to keep the bottle.

ÜNIIQ KOMBUCHA PASSION FRUIT BRIEF: “Pleasantly tangy with a hint of sweetness, the fragrant aroma brings intensely tropical and exotic flair till your last slurp.” SOOT’S TAKE: There’s a barely noticeable hint of that acidic taste of vomitus in this but the passion fruit helps mask it, rendering this kombucha still fairly drinkable.
