If you can’t already tell from the number of people taking up gelato boutique space within and outside the shop, then you must come here to experience the reason(s) for the success of this place. On this occasion, The @queen.e & I sampled a new flavor: basil. The infusion of basil leaves really did impart a “sweet & mildly spicy bouquet” to the gelato; and did I say how smooth and creamy it was as well?

Beurre Noisette, caramelized pecans in another hit from Butterknife Folk. So good! It was like eating the ice cream version of caramel corn. I declare this one da winner!

In the form of a Magnum, it tastes like a fruitier, tangier version of white chocolate and it cracks satisfyingly upon biting into the velvety white chocolate-raspberry ripple ice cream it enrobes. This had every potential to be cloying but it delightfully wasn’t. Would do it again. ✅

Vanilla flavored soft serve atop a layer of corn flakes, topped with a tasty, black Japanese rice vinegar called kurozu. This was my first time tasting kurozu and the soft serve was the perfect backdrop for showcasing its sweet, tart, woody, slightly smoky flavor. This would’ve been perfect with in-season, fully ripe strawberries.

“A refreshing, light orange marmalade gelato.” Not generally a fan of marmalade but the marmalade was made and incorporated in a way that subdued much of the bitterness I find off-putting in marmalade. As described in the brief, this was light and refreshing!
