REALLY GOOD
1st ROJI MELONA MANPUKU ろじメロナまんぷく
Foodie Market Place, Singapore
Japanese Sencha with Honey Melon from Kagoshima Prefecture. Apart from dried melon, they threw in some marigold and natural flavorings in the sachet which I am glad about because it really could’ve gone the other way with artificial melon flavor. Refreshing and inviting.
PRETTY GOOD
3rd SECRET WOMEN'S BUSINESS GREEN TEA INFUSION
Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute, Adelaide
blend of Australian native raspberry leaf, rosella flowers, aniseed myrtle and certified organic green tea.
4th SENCHA
Wafuken, Singapore
$1 if you spend at least $15. I wish this could’ve been refillable though.
8th OCHA
天勝 TENSHO By MOF, Singapore
Can’t beat a cuppa! 🍵
10th あやたか綾鷹
Kukuru, Osaka
Chilled sencha to go with the takoyaki.
11th ホジチャ
錦 もちつき屋, Kyoto
I love how every eating place here offers complimentary pots of roasted green tea!
12th ROASTED GREEN TEA
Gion Tokuya, Kyoto
I love the free flow hot tea!! 💕
14th SENCHA
Kanmidokoro Hatsune, Chuo City
That 🍵 from that ancient iron tea kettle of yore...
15th お抹茶
Nezu Museum, Minato City
You needed that wagashi to help the 🍵 go down. Thankfully it was served in limited amounts. 🤭
NOT FOR ME
16th HONEYDEW GREEN TEA
Petit Bites Patisserie, Petaling Jaya
BRIEF: “Fruity apricot and honeydew pieces complement pure green tea to create a delightful tropical tea experience.” SOOT’S TAKE: With a single teabag infusing such a large pot of water, the outcome was bound to be needlessly tasteless, so much so that even the teapot faded quite appropriately into the table. 🫠😑
