Ate this roadside. Best kampung durian I ever had. I didn’t know they could harbor such depth of flavor. Comparable in taste to the more exotically-named types beloved by local Chinese but cheaper.

Purchased off the stand. Creamy, sweet, rich and basically delicious when one hasn’t had durian in ~ 2 years.

Picked this one up after hearing a thud behind me while wandering across the sprawling orchard. It took about 5 minutes to find it among the rocks and mounds which felt like the best treasure hunt ever because it was my first time hunting for durian in their natural environment. The flesh did not disappoint either with their delicious bittersweet taste. Hours later, the owner of the orchard confirmed at dinner (based on photos I’d taken) that this was Musang King durian. Score!

Dredged this one up after observing its fall into the lotus pond. It was different than durian #1 but flavorful too.

Pretty excited to try DURIAN JANTUNG because none of us had ever had it before. Unsure if the shell looked like a heart since I was too busy focusing on the heart of the matter i.e. coronary-inducing, bittersweet flesh of Durian Jantung. This came in a nice second to the Musang King and cost almost half as much.
