REALLY GOOD
1st THE GOLDEN DUCK CO TRUFFLE WAGYU FLAVOURED GOURMET SPICED POTATO CRISPS
CS Fresh The Star Vista, Singapore
Bold in flavor like you’d expect from a flavor combi such as this one.
2nd SHI LE PO TRUFFLE & CHEESE POTATO CHIPS 食乐坡松露芝士薯片
The Cocoa Trees, Singapore
These are pretty great but I wish they would give you more than a third of the bag for the price! I mean I had to really look into the bag to find the chips! 😪 Talk about ABYSS(mal).
3rd AUNTY ESTHER’S SALTED EGG POTATO CRISP
Somewhere in Singapore, Singapore
Finally treated myself to the SEY chips from @queen.e These are pretty addictive for someone who’s not crazy about salted egg potato chips. It’s got a nice balance of sweet & salty that works for me.
5th SAVOURSMITHS WAGYU BEEF AND HONEY MUSTARD POTATO CRISPS
CS Fresh The Star Vista, Singapore
BRIEF: “Decadent Japanese Wagyu beef with its unparalleled marbled texture and taste is complemented by the sweet bite of honey and mustard.” SOOT’S TAKE: Not gonna to lie but I was more intrigued by the kimono-clad ox than I was by the prospect of wagyu beef and honey mustard flavored crisps. VERDICT: There was a lot of umami in the crisps and I tasted more wasabi than I did honey mustard. Interestingly enough, these chips also emanated the aftertaste of a Sunday roast. So all in all, a unique experience but not necessarily one that bears repeating.
8th M&S FOOD PEPPERONI PIZZA RIDGE CUT CRISPS
Marks & Spencer, Singapore
BRIEF: “The rich and deliciously peppery flavour of spiced pepperoni pizza.” SOOT’S TAKE: They tasted like none of the above. Not to me. I did not like this 😖
