I finished the pandan drink before the food arrived and without knowing how crazily spiced the dishes were going to be, I needed a backup. Appreciated that the beer arrived with a chilled glass.

Yummy and enjoyed with leftover bibimbap.

BRIEF: “Inspired by a trip the team went on, Passionista Passionfruit Hazy is a big, juicy, and passiónate brew that is dangerously easy to have. Expect a fruit-forward, subtly citrusy, sweet, and tangy profile from the exotic passionfruit, further brought out by the juicy aroma from the hops. A proper kick on the palate, (potentially) dangerous to the wallet.” SOOT’S TAKE: Everything they said. I’d drink this again.

BRIEF: “Enjoy this refreshing ASAHI beer draft with Japanese Yuzu.” SOOT’S TAKE: Refreshing this is! I’d call it Japanese shandy if I could!

I like the lemon myrtle undertones in this light ale. There’s also sea parsley in this but having no idea what that tastes like, can’t really comment on that count.

Decent lager to go with my burrito at only $5 a pint during Happy Hour!

Baja-inspired Mexican lager brewed with sea salt and lime that’s crisp and refreshing enough to go with the fish tacos.

At $5.50 for ~ 1/2 pint, it’s the cheapest (yet still decent) beer I’ve encountered at any restaurant!

“Creamy and refreshingly tart with a bright kick of fresh local organic lemon zest and juice. Finished on vanilla.” It’s everything they say it is, which is to say I really enjoyed it. The closest thing I can compare it to is shandy but this is waaay better and it belongs in its own category.

Frothiest beer I’ve ever poured or had for that matter. At first I thought I just really sucked at pouring beer but it turns out this is one frothy beer! 🍺

I dunno that it’s ShackBurger’s best friend (because I’ll probably never try it), but it’s certainly a very good friend of SmokeShack™. I enjoyed its citrusy yet malty flavor.

It just felt like the kind of place for a cerveza to go with your Pizza a 🐴.

Happy 56th to the island nation that hasn’t made it too hard to stay alive in these extraordinary times. It’s also a great excuse to try some locally brewed craft beer. Brief: “A refreshing Gose brewed with sea salt and kaffir lime. Zesty flavours and hints of herbal sourness and salt. Beer that tastes like chill island vibes.” True to its description, I’m pleasantly surprised by how different (and refreshing) this is. It’s sour and salty at the same time without tasting anything like a margarita. I taste none of the malty bitterness that characterizes (all?) the beers I’ve (ever?) had. It really is like nothing I’ve ever tried and it really bears repeating!
