The shop sold out at ~3pm and I was so stoked to be the last customer in queue to lay my hands on these babies. Steamed glutinous rice cakes filled with sweet mung bean paste, in the shape of tortoise and coloured red for auspicious connotations.

Homemade traditional glutinous rice cakes, first steamed then pan-fried. Like to eat this with a light drizzle of the duck fat from Teochew Braised Duck.
