4th ORANGE, BEETROOT & SPINACH SALAD
The Brass Rail, London
A really good little salad which went as a side with my Hot Salt Beef on Rye sandwich. Covered in the juices from the beetroots and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and mixed in with some fresh onions and lightly seasoned. Salubrious! #salad #fresh #delicious #healthy
PRETTY GOOD
5th SPICY FIDDLEHEAD FERN SALAD (KERABU PUCUK PAKU)
Restoran Tanjung Bunga, Petaling Jaya
Some say eating this fern is harmful. I say eat it in moderation because it’s delicious; it has a nice crunch even after it’s cooked. Furthermore, it is amazing when prepared in this Nyonya way, with a dressing of chilli shrimp paste (sambal belacan), lime juice, thick coconut milk, sugar and salt. However, at this place, it could have been better with fresher ferns and a bolder dressing. Nevertheless, nice. #salad
