AMAZING
1st UNI (KYUSHU)
Hibino, New York
I was influenced to try this Uni instead of the one from Peru because it is not imported that often & is very sweet. I’m glad I was. So ethereal & yes, sweet. I’d love another one, but at US$12 I’ll just live on the dreamy memory.
REALLY GOOD
2nd SABA SUSHI
Hibino, New York
Surprisingly delicate mackerel but with good flavor. They really have a light touch at this restaurant. Also, I feel like I’m sitting in a little row boat being offered freshly caught fish!
3rd SUSHI
Japan Village, New York
It’s from the sushi bar in the Japan Village food hall in Industry City, Brooklyn. So, it was fantastic! Fresh, tender tuna & salmon. The salmon in particular was like butter. The vinegared rice was flavorful & a good consistency, although I’m not an expert on that. The bar was a relatively quiet island on the side of the food court, which is supposed to be authentically Japanese.
4th CRISPY RICE TRIO
Bessou - Time Out Market New York, USA
The crispy rice is so good! It’s chewy rice packed into a crispy shell. Love the crunch AND the chewy. Nicely seasoned crisp, too. The fresh sushi goes nicely with the spicy mayo & various toppings. I got salmon sashimi & yellowtail ceviche.
