This is like no other vegetable mixture I’ve ever had. Every vegetable is crispy fresh and sweet. The herbs & black sesame seeds add an earthy and maybe smokey quality. Every single ingredient is local & apparently of the highest quality. I must return!

Green beans, radish, tonnato, purslane & almonds. All fresh, seasonal & local. The tonnato dressing makes it creamy, tasty & adds a richness. So good!

Sucrine hearts, habanadas, avo, tahini. Interesting, huh?. Sucrine is a type of lettuce. Habanadas are habanero peppers with the spice bred out of them, supposedly. I definitely detected spice, but not nearly as much as habaneros. Sweet & crunchy, too. The tahini was creamy. All in all, very tasty.

This tastes way better than it looks! The braised lamb with garlic, turmeric, cayenne & coriander was so tasty & tender, I ate way more than I intended to. The falafel was crunchy, hardy & flavorful. Loved the tzatziki. The hummus was good. Olives added a nice salty touch. All the veggies were fresh & good. Can’t wait to return!

All the ingredients were grown on the roof garden of this restaurant and it showed! Very fresh, crunchy & good.

Shredded green papaya, tomatos, green beans, peanuts & teeny shrimp. Fresh, crunchy & plentiful. (It should be for US$12!) My only problem was that it was too spicy for me, even though I asked for less spicy. I said yes, when the server said, “a little spicy?” I would’ve enjoyed it more if I didn’t cough after every bite!

Fresh mesclun, shaved daikon for sharp contrast, carrot, & delicate earthy potato chips with ginger dressing.

Coconut rice, pickled veggies, watercress & chimichurri. A solid good! From the restaurant Lalito.
