Interesting flavour, not surprisingly quite similar to carrot cake but subtly different. Beautifully moist with luscious frosting and, as always at The Wharf, huge portion
Trdlo is a traditional Czech cake where the dough is twisted and then cooked on a spit. It’s much tastier than it looks and when really fresh as this was its great. Perfect accompaniment to a ciffee
Another poor photo but surprisingly pleasant cake for a chain eatery. Not too sickly, pleasantly fruity and good texture but not as distinctive as I like my cake flavours
Unusually for the Wharf a real disappointment. Not only massively sickly but so rock hard I couldn’t cut or break it and it wasn’t good enough to risk my teeth on more than a couple of bites. I chose badly.
