AMAZING
1st SAVORY MORNING BUN
La Farine Bakery, Oakland
Flaky with savory bits of ham. My favorite breakfast pastry that I'm willing to drive with AM commute traffic for...if I don't need to go to work!
REALLY GOOD
2nd TGTG SURPRISE BAG - PASTRIES
House of Bread, San Luis Obispo
While near the SLO airport, this place is a must stop for their breads and pastries. Even better if you can snag a TooGoodToGo Surprise Bag of day-old pastries! I was given 6 pastries (reg $4.50-$5.00 each) and a loaf of Apple Cinnamon Swirl Bread (reg $9). All for $6 plus tax!
3rd TGTG SURPRISE BAG - PASTRIES
Philz Coffee, Oakland
Another successful TooGoodToGo surprise bag pickup. For $4USD, my surprise bag included an onion & herb focaccia, bran muffin, butter croissant, and a kouign amann...which would have cost me about $15 for everything.
PRETTY GOOD
4th TGTG SURPRISE BAG - PASTRIES
Bear Claw Bakery & Cafe, Pinole
This whole box of pastries (reg. $45) cost only $6 via the TGTG app. crazy! This local bakery has been around since 1912 and is a community staple. The hot cross buns are popular with the locals.
