It's always a challenge to find the perfect deep fried taro dumpling. This one has that delicate panko crust and the filling is flavorful and not starchy. Yum!

Very pricey and tasted good, but I've had a lot better and for a much better value. Skin was a bit thicker than I prefer, but soup was inside the dumpling and meat was good.

And assortment of shui mai, har gow, quail egg shui mai, lotus leaf wrapped rice, and pan seared turnip cake. It was good, for being about an hour away from the nearest decent dim sum tea house. Great for a dim sum snack.

Maybe I should've gone to the Hollywood location instead because this place was still takeout-only. I've never had inedible scallion pancakes until this order. Maybe the cook was trying to make them extra thin and crispy, but each bite was way too oily. There was absolutely no chewy dough, just an oily, crisp, thin layer or two. I tried to eat three pieces to see if it got better, but I ended up tossing the whole order into the trash.
