AMAZING
1st MELONPAN
Saint Etoile Ryōgoku, Sumida City
My idea of a perfect breakfast! First off the MelonPan or melon bread. A sugary, biscuity sweetbun with a hard, delicious exterior and the most fluffy, cloud like interior. Along with this I purchased a sweet teriyaki sesame beef roll which had perfectly tender beef inside. I complimented this with a nice, refreshing iced tea. Not my usual breakfast but one I won’t ever forget. #Foodreview #Japanesefood
REALLY GOOD
2nd MAANDAZI
Hereford Butter Market, Hereford
Maandazi x vitumbua Once again located in Hereford Butter market is the wonderful Rivas Tanzanian Cuisine. As I bought a bunch of dishes I have written each review separately to show the proper respect the each food. The first image shows the beautiful, Mochi like Food called vitumbua, which according to the lovely lady at the counter is a personal favourite and I absolutely had to agree. I say Mochi represents it closely due to the texture and that’s all down the the rice, Vitumbua is a pounded rice cake which when mixed with water and given time to set it becomes stretchy and rubbery just like mochi. As for the flavour, it had a subtle bitter rice taste yet a strong flavour of cinnamon and or nutmeg came through with a delicate aftertaste of coconut. A must buy if in Hereford. From there I ordered the Maandazi, this fried ball of goodness is a perfect example of “goes well with tea” because it does !!! Essentially the closest thing I could relate it to is a Jamaican dumpling and both are super delicious.
PRETTY GOOD
3rd FRIED CASSAVA
Hereford Butter Market, Hereford
The final food I ordered had to be the fried Cassava, a food with not a lot of flavour which is why it went amazing with the curry, yet the texture was everything, very much like a roasted potato, just with a more firm and fibrous texture. All in all a great way to spend a weekend and by all means come to this restaurant whenever you are in Hereford. Ravis Tanzanian Cuisine, Hereford Butter-Market - 📍
