REALLY GOOD
1st SALMON CURRY
Hereford Butter Market, Hereford
Back In Tanzania 🇹🇿 Went back to Hereford to visit Rivas Tanzanian Cuisine , located in the Hereford butter market and just like the last time it didn’t disappoint. Instead of the beef curry I ordered salmon which was a completely different experience. A lot lightly and flakier as you’d expect with tender fish. I think overall I preferred the beef but the salmon had tons of flavour and really is something you need to order. Of course it can with the stewed cabbage aswell as the unique Ugali which I can’t get enough off. A side of fried plantains accompanied the main meal, oily, crunchy and definitely delicious, a must when at Rivas. Finally my ultimate favourite Tanzanian food, the Vitumbua, it ends a lovely meal so well I really can’t get enough. The texture, flavours and smells from it really make it what it is, coconut essence with masala flavour infused in the spongy rice cake. Definitely a MUST get when you come. It was all washed down with a delicious Banana Milkshake from the ThaiTastic restaurant across the way. A great visit and happy to go back.
2nd BUNNY CHOW
CHOW!, Brighton and Hove
Not much to say other than a South African curry in a loaf of bread, oh yeh and the fact that it was the spiciest thing I have ever eaten!!!. Firstly, the curry itself had nice big chunks of tender beef and every last bite was packed with flavour and heat. Two great starches with the soft potatoes and the pillowy bread and on the side a nice fresh, soothing side salad to calm the heat just a little. #Foodreview #SouthAfrican
