AMAZING
1st TAGLIATELLE WITH WHITE TRUFFLES

This is a seasonal offering, either tagliatelle or risotto and they shave white truffle over it tableside. It was a generous shaving, as you can see and only cost $30. Very reasonable. They told us it was their last truffle and the dish is no longer on their menu, so I guess they told us the truth! Earthy and rich, Al dente pasta and a nice amount of freshly grated cheese. Simplicity at its best!
2nd LINGUINE WITH BLACK TRUFFLE

And fresh shaved parmigiano cheese. The smell of this dish alone was enough for a foodgasm and then each bite was better and better!
3rd RIGATONI WITH MILK-BRAISED PORK

So, there's a reason why Andrew Carmellini is known for his pasta dishes. The flavors here were perfect. The richness of the pork was offset by shredded, sautéed Savoy cabbage and juniper. My only critique was that the pasta was overcooked. Definitely a few minutes past al dente.

4th PENNE CON NOCI E RICOTTA

This pesto is made from parsley and walnuts. It's much more mild than your standard basil, garlic and pine nuts...a bit too mild for my taste, but the penne was at least perfectly al dente.
