We had this many many years ago and liked it a lot. Visited recently and happy to say that it’s still good! I don’t know what they marinated those chicken pieces with but they’re like crack! The kuah that comes with this was thick and moreish, and the sambal was great too. Even the acar timum was good and offered a nice contrast to the chicken. Small disclaimer - I recommended this to someone and they had it delivered. They didn’t seem to enjoy it as much as I did so YMMV.

Everything here was on point. From the fluffy steamed rice, to the flavourful fried chicken and the spicy sambal, even the curry that was ladled over the rice. It all came together very well. Food coma inducing!

The sambal is everything here. Definitely packed a huge wallop. Fried chicken was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. Too heavy for breakfast you say? No such thing.

Breaking it down, I would say the fried chicken was really good. I wouldn’t mind just ordering the chicken next time. Rice could be a tad fluffier, curry gravy was slightly above average. The sambal belacan saved the dish. Super powerful killer stuff! I think this stall was fairly new, so I would order this again just to see if there’s any improvement.
