REALLY GOOD
1st GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH
MadHatter Desserts, Petaling Jaya
Simple comfort food on a cold rainy day. But of course, this is the Mad Hatter. Normal ingredients just won’t do. The bread was made in-house, cheese sourced from a local producer (very, very good cheese I must say!) and the sandwich was grilled in butter that they churn themselves. The tomato soup was made with some special Japanese tomatoes grown locally and was bursting with sweet, intense, tomatoey flavour. We had this two nights in a row because we couldn’t get enough of it! Sadly, this was only available for 3 days but there are plans to bring it back again. I’ll be waiting!!!
2nd GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH WITH BACON
Extraction - SS2, Petaling Jaya
I mean... it’s cheese. And it’s bacon. And it’s grilled to gooey perfection on their homemade sourdough bread... sounds about right to me...
3rd GRILLED KIMCHEESE BEEF SANDWICH
Thirdwave Cafe, Kuala Lumpur
Kimchi, vintage cheddar, chilli marinated Australian beef, greens. A bit on the salty side, but so freaking delicious!
4th PIMPED GRILLED CHEESE 2.0
WhupWhup Restaurant & Cafe, Subang Jaya
“3-cheese aligot on toasted sourdough with Parmesan crust.” I prefer their original pimped grilled cheese but this is good too. Could get a bit much if you don’t really enjoy your cheese 😅.
