This is my second time to have this and first time after the holiday in Japan. Not sure if the previous photo is still available on Eaten. Sadly, it’s not as awesome as I previously thought. Still very tasty but too much stringy bits for a nice Scotch fillet. I ordered it with anchovy and garlic butter this time. $69

With pea purée, duck fat potatoes, miso & black garlic butter.

With masala kale, truffle mash, smoked eel and curried butter. Surprisingly nice.

I was craving for meat and I got it. Happy now. ☺️ I chose the bearnaise sauce and it was amazing.

This was really good!

With confit potatoes, edamame, baby carrots, truffle purée and tarragon mustard. Good quality meat.

Pleasantly surprised with this dish. Nicely done. The chips on the side were perfect, bearnaise sauce was flavourful, steak done well. Great value for $26.

With bernaise sauce

300gm for $36 and another $4 for the bearnaise sauce. Not happy the potatoes underneath were just boiled and weren’t seasoned. It was a very busy restaurant and we guessed it was mostly visitors like us. Looking forward to going home tomorrow. 😊

The meat was very tasty and had lots of flavour. The rest didn't work for me.

It’s my first time to try this lunch special for $20. I asked for cafe de Paris butter.

I like the charred bits but the meat had too much gristle.

Sadly it is becoming more common for me to be disappointed with wagyu at restaurants here. The trip to Japan in Oct 2019 has definitely ruined me 😭.

For $60 I was expecting it to be better. Sadly, the meat was too stringy and tough in some areas. Even the steak knife struggled! I got tired from trying to cut through the meat so I gave up and left most on the plate.

The potato croquettes were really good but not likely to be back after this meal. There are other better places to eat.
