AMAZING
1st STRAWBERRY SCONE
Loretta, Wellington
I had to wait a little bit while the scones were picked up from the bakery at the sister cafe a few doors down. I absolutely loved it. The sugar sprinkles on top and the white stripes (some kind of light cheese?) plus the texture, flavour, oh everything about it. ❤️ I hope it stays on the menu.
2nd BLUEBERRY SCONE
De Bakkerswinkel Oud-Zuid, Amsterdam
With passionfruit curd and clotted cream. Delicious!
3rd FIG AND DATE SCONE
Fat Pigeon Cafe, Piopio
Another winner from this cafe! What a discovery!
12th SULTANA BUTTERMILK SCONE
Loretta, Wellington
It wasn’t as good as the strawberry one I had but still done well. Perfect texture for me.
13th DATE SCONE
FRANK'S Terrace, Wellington
First time to try and it was good. Fresh out of the oven. The second photo shows the whole second floor of the cafe. There’s a little balcony too.
16th CHOCOLATE, HAZELNUT AND COFFEE SCONE
Oranga cafe, Wellington
I saw a staff member updating the sign outside the cafe and I recognized her from a different restaurant where she used to work. I’ve walked past this cafe but haven’t checked it out since it changed hands. I enjoyed the scone and I was told they change flavours daily so I think I’ll be a regular on my way to work.
20th BLUEBERRY SCONE
Neo Cafe & Eatery, Wellington
I would love it even more if it was sweeter.
20th BLUEBERRY SCONE
Neo Cafe & Eatery, Wellington
I still think it needed more sweetness but loved that it was nicely toasted for me.
22nd CHEESE AND ONION SCONE
The Larder, Wellington
It needed more flavourful cheese for me.
