AMAZING
1st DUNES BLANCHES
Dunes Blanches chez Pascal Bordeaux, Bordeaux
OMG, these little choux pastry goodies have cream in the middle. They're so delicious! It's the best choux pastry I've ever had!
2nd ENSAIMADA
Pinotxo Bar, Barcelona
Still as good as I remember!
3rd DUNES BLANCHES BROWNIE
Dunes Blanches chez Pascal Bordeaux, Bordeaux
They make flavoured Dunes Blanches sometimes and we were lucky to try this Brownie flavour available only for a couple of days (i think). The cream inside had chocolate specks and there's chocolate drizzle. I loved it too. Not too chocolatey. Just perfect!
4th PASTRY BOARD
Wildflour Café + Bakery Rada, Makati
The kouign amann (two in the middle) was sooooo good!!! The slice of coffee cake/loaf was nice too. I didn’t enjoy the other one with nuts on top.
5th BELLA
Grace Patisserie, Wellington
I absolutely love this new one from this patisserie. Must get another one next weekend! Cream cheese mousse, Blueberry compote, lemon sponge, vanilla shortcrust, lemon curd and blueberry cream.
6th GRANNY
Patisserie Academie, Brugge
Thinly sliced Granny Smith apples with cream and strasberries in the middle on a lovely base. Delicious! €5.50 only.
6th GRANNY
Patisserie Academie, Brugge
2nd picture showing the middle part.
7th PLUM AND FIG PIE
Fragments, Paris
OMG this is absolutely delicious from this trendy little coffee shop.
REALLY GOOD
8th SEPHORA
Grace Patisserie, Wellington
This was a wonderful surprise. I already ate the whole thing before thinking of taking a photo of the inside as you do 😂. It is a variation of their Father’s Day special. It is chocolate choux pastry filled with chocolate cremeux then there’s a thin crisp hollow ball of chocolate with caramelised bananas in the middle! Then coffee bourbon mascarpone on top. I loved it!
9th TORI
Grace Patisserie, Wellington
Mango, pineapple and mint. Another winner.
10th BAILEY
Grace Patisserie, Wellington
Dark Chocolate Cremeux and Bailey Mascarpone Cream filled Choux. $11
11th SALTED CARAMEL DANISH
Prefab, Wellington
IMHO, they make the best danish in town and today’s salted caramel flavour is unmissable.
12th LEMON CURD DANISH
Prefab, Wellington
Still so yummy! I bought to takeaway and eat at work. ☺️
13th FRUIT DANISH
Grace Patisserie, Wellington
Yay they’re open again after the holidays. This is their first time to sell Danish so I had to try it. So good! The fruit they used are so perfectly delicious. $8 for one.
16th BICHON POIRE CARAMEL
Vie De France, Kyoto
There was a piece of pear in the middle. I enjoyed this.
20th APRICOT AND BLUEBERRY DANISH
Baker Gramercy, Wellington
It’s been years since I’ve shopped at this bakery because it’s a 30min drive from home for me and parking can be a struggle. It’s on a busy main road. Luckily today I got a free park just across the street. There was a queue out the front door when I turned around so I’m glad I got in just the right time.
21st PLUM DANISH
Moore Wilson's Wellington, Wellington
This is my favourite shop. I come here every weekend. It’s usually busy on weekends and very rare to take a picture without people in the background. There’s a big high table with bar stools where you can enjoy a cuppa while taking a break from shopping. The pastry is from Pandoro. It’s a local bakery. Sadly the coffee wasn’t great this morning. It wasn’t hot enough.
25th BERRY DANISH
Moore Wilson's Wellington, Wellington
This is by Brezelmania, a local German bakery. I have been to their bakery in Petone but not lately. According to Google, it’s temporarily closed. Some of their products are available at Moore Wilsons so I decided to try this Danish today. It was just ok. Nice fresh berries though. I was at Moore Wilsons just before they opened so the shop still looked pretty empty.
NOT FOR ME
26th CORAL
Grace Patisserie, Wellington
The thin white chocolate coating on the outside had a strong taste of rancid nuts or spice. I was completely put off.
