AMAZING
1st PARMESAN TRUFFLE FRIES
Bellamys by Logan Brown, Wellington
The most amazing fries I’ve had that I can remember and recorded. This beats the best in Belgium, hands down @jeehova @timothy. I was told that the chips are fried in beef fat.
2nd CURLY FRIES
Sweet Mother's Kitchen, Wellington
The best curly fries in town! This place is an institution. There can be a long wait but it’s worth it.
3rd KIMCHI SALT CHIPS
Seoul Salon, Wellington
I reckon the serving size is smaller now compared to a couple of years ago.
5th POMME FRITES, HOUSE KETCHUP
Daisy's, Wellington
The house ketchup was really good too
6th LOADED FRIES
Spoon & Paddle, Taupo
With Sri Lankan pork coconut curry, lemon mint yoghurt, spring onion.
8th FRITES
Friterie Tabora, Bruxelles
With andalouse sauce which is slightly spicy.
11th CURLY FRIES
Kilim, Lower Hutt
Can’t go wrong with curly fries 👍
PRETTY GOOD
15th CHUNKY POTATO FRIES
Sojourn Cafe & Bar, Wellington
It was served with aioli and tomato sauce (not in photo).
18th HALOUMI FRIES
Flamingo Joe's Bar & Eatery, Wellington
Nice but the chilli yoghurt dip could use a bit more kick.
19th FRENCH FRIES
Sojourn Cafe & Bar, Wellington
I was expecting shoestring fries.
JUST OK
20th LONGEST FRIES IN TOWN
Goldie Milk Bar & Eatery, Wellington
It was crunchy on the outside and soft inside. You get one sauce and one salt flavour as part of your order. I chose kewpie mayo and cheese salt although couldn’t really taste the cheese in the salt.
21st PARMESAN FRIES
Spring Kitchen, Wellington
The Parmesan flavour wasn't strong enough for me.
24th FRIES
The Hudson, Wellington
This restaurant has changed hands and names several times. First time to try this latest incarnation. Sadly this was another fail for me. It looked nice and brown so I thought they’d be quite crispy and crunchy but they were limp and soggy! A complete let-down. I wonder how long this new place will last...
