A buttery crust with a balance between crunchy exterior and a chewy inside without being dry or crumbly is the shell holding tons of pizza goodies!!! A thick layer of salty mozzarella that is equally gooey and rubbery, which is topped with a robust and savory marinara and TONS of meat! Pepperoni, salami, sausage, and bacon piled on for all the protein, salty, and savory you could ask for. This is a divine pizza lasagna brimming with complimentary flavors throughout.

Wow!!!! A massive slice of calzone stuffed to the brim with ricotta, mozzarella, pepperoni, and sausage! All the ingredients are local and tasted absolutely INCREDIBLE! A balanced texture from the creamy ricotta, incredibly savory meats… and a nice marinara on the side… I will be going back for this again. What. A. Find!!!

A really great flavorful red sauce with a little heat, perfectly salty and gooey cheese, with great quality toppings! A great all-round package of a pizza! Note: Blaze Pizza does not disappoint regardless of location. Love the build your own pizza vibe, watching it be made exactly as desired is so satisfying! Any location is comparable!

An incredible focaccia-style dough in a Detroit pizza form. Very good mozzarella with a savory sauce and great cuts of clean meats. Very savory and delicious!
7th DETROIT CLASSIC PEPPERONI PIZZA

This is an incredible pie!!! The dough is a superb focaccia-style one with a nice hint of olive oil and salt. The mozzarella is incredibly melty and rubbery, and has the perfect amount of saltiness to blend with the sweeter sauce, which is very flavorful. To top it off, the pepperoni is delightfully savory, some of the best pepperoni I’ve ever tasted. This is a special pie!

A delightful thin-crust pizza that does not skimp on the meat! Pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and ground beef come together with a savory, herbaceous sauce and a nice mozzarella cheese. Very clean tasting, not sopping in grease, just packed with flavor!

What a delightful pizza! The thin crust is perfectly baked, and is perhaps a touch bland. The sauce is herbaceous and robust in pure tomato flavor. The toppings didn’t totally adhere to the rest of the pizza, but they were absolutely phenomenal! Salty and greasy cupping pepperoni! INCREDIBLE sausage offering tons of salty and savory chunks in every piece! Topped off with bacon crumbles acting as salt, not to mention a thick layer of rubbery and salty mozzarella cheese browned to perfection! This is a superb pizza hidden away in the middle of nowhere… and is absolutely worth the dive in.

The crust may be cardboard-esque, but it's thin enough to allow all the flavor to carry this pizza home. The sauce is good and the cheese blend is EXCELLENT, and the meats are super savory and greasy, just the way I love it!

The toppings on this pizza are so clean and savory, it's unfortunate that the dough holds this back. A touch over my doneness liking and a very thick crust pulls this down a touch, but still incredibly worth it. (We really only care about the pizza toppings anyways, right?)
12th BUFFALO CHICKEN CALZONE

Tender chicken, creamy sauce blending the cheese and buffalo flavors. Perfect tones of salt and savory, and a great amount of moisture to balance the dough. This was a very pleasant specialty calzone!
13th PEPPERONI & SAUSAGE PIZZA

A wonderfully browned pizza dough with nice leopard spots brings out a nice slightly charred flavor in the yeasty crust. This contrasts a robust and savory sauce with a slight hint of sweetness. The cheese is nice and melty with pepperoni and sausage with a clean and savory taste with little excess grease. A very good (and large!) slice of pie!

This iconic and large slice of pie does not disappoint! The dough is sturdy with just enough softness to be a nice mouth feel combined with the savory sauce, cheese, and juicy sausage. A great pizza as always!
15th PEPPERONI SICILIAN PIZZA

A wonderful focaccia-style dough with a wonderful amount of crunch on the bottom. In spots it was perhaps just a touch overcharred for my preferences, but it wasn't detrimental. The sauce was incredibly robust and rich with herbaceous flavor, which was well complimented by the melty and salty mozzarella and all the savory and salty pops from all the pepperoni. A really great slice of pizza!

A well done job on the simple pepperoni pizza. A great tasting pizza dough is accentuated by a thin yet robust sauce, a nicely salty cheese, and a greasy pepperoni oozing with oil and flavor. No notes other than good and simple pizza.

The crust may be cardboard-esque, but this cheese blend is layered thicker than the crust, making every bite worth it! A very clean tasting cut of ham makes this a lighter and very tasty pizza!!!

A very tasty, sourdough-esque crust with a good crunch topped with a solid marinara sauce, gooey and creamy mozzarella, and very clean tasting pepperoni, sausage, and bacon. This is an incredible pizza regardless of coming frozen. Wow!!!

19th THE CARNIVORE PIZZA
Zaffiro's North Shore, Mequon
A large thin crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and an extra buffalo drizzle. The edges were too done for me to find palatable and just tasted like char. However, the rest of the dough was fine. The toppings were very clean and standard. The sauce was missing salt and flavor, and the cheese didn’t have the signature salty oily quality I expect from mozzarella. This pizza was just missing some salt, otherwise it could have been higher on the list!

A floppy and lackluster dough is well-served by a robust and flavorful sauce, a nice salty mozzarella, and savory cuts of pepperoni and sausage further adding flavor. The toppings carry this pizza, but the crust is definitely not worth the effort.

A really solid pizza despite a lackluster dough. A rather bland and floppy dough with an overly-crisped edge. A somewhat bland and thicker pizza sauce. The star here is the cheese and sausage, which are both incredibly tasty, salty, and juicy/oily. A good pizza from a dive bar!
22nd MEAT LOVERS DEEP DISH PIZZA
Gino's East, Wheaton
The crust is my biggest hangup on this pizza. It has a significant amount of butter flavor, but it is very dry and a bit crumbly. The pizza toppings are all good: the cheese is melty and salty, the meats are all clean, salty, and savory, and the sauce is rich. I think a touch more sauce would be welcome here to balance it out, but this is a tasty pizza once you get through the crust.

Pizza out of a fire truck? A must-see food truck with a really great fired pie. The dough is tasty and floppy with a firm edge crust. A very smooth and clean pizza sauce with a great salty mozzarella and big pepperoni! So tasty and unique!
24th BUFFALO CHICKEN PUB-STYLE
Dutch Farms, Chicago
A thin cracker-style crust acts as the crunchy wafer typical of Chicago pub pizza. The buffalo ranch sauce on the pizza with Monterey Jack cheese and seasoned chicken makes this a rather flavorful combo out of a frozen aisle, albeit needing some salt and a more authentic buffalo flavor to it.
25th CHICKEN PARMESAN CALZONE

This is a fried chicken parm dinner crammed into a calzone! The chicken is moist and flavorful from the breading, and the cheese REALLY drives this home. I wish there was a touch more sauce inside, but the dough was a great thickness and had great flavor!!

Toppers Pizza, Milwaukee
A pizza held back by a bland and dense dough that otherwise holds a lot of flavor slapped on top of it. The garlic butter offers a ton of salty flavor to make the crust rather edible. A somewhat muted sauce, but a nice melty cheese and very savory meat cuts make this a very solid pizza great for late night, short time, or drunken situations.

This is such an intriguing pizza… from its oblong shape and being served on a sheet pan to having a thin and limp dough, this pizza is odd. However, despite a bland and floppy dough, there is a ton of flavor to be found from the cheese alone. Perhaps lacking the amount of meat that I’d like to see, but neither were overly flavorful cuts.

A relatively bland dough that fortunately is thinner and does not overstay its welcome. An average mozzarella adds much needed salt to the sauce, but the pepperoni is great and the sausage is incredible to make this an overall good pizza.
29th CHEESE MOUNTAIN PEPPERONI AND SAUSAGE PIZZA

A standard slice of pizza with average meat quality, but a very good rubbery melty mozzarella to counter a savory sauce. Dough is the right amount of thickness for such a pie, and overall serves its purpose as a gas station grab!

A solid slice of pie with average dough and sauce, a great mozzarella, and unremarkable proteins. Just fine and inoffensive.
