I’ve had mapo tofu when it’s waaaay too spicy for me and had it when it’s not spicy enough. Never have had that proper numbing effect that a proper mapo tofu is supposed to bring. Could have been a bit spicier but I think regardless of the spice level of would have been able to continue eating! Great ma and la!

Definitely not the spiciest mapo tofu but soooo flavorful! More like a gravy? But I dug it
