AMAZING
1st PORK XIAO LONG BAO
Din Tai Fung, Glendale
It's scary how many I could eat. These are so amazing! Have you ever seen the Disney movie Ratatouille? Remember when the critic takes a bite of the Ratatouille? Remember the look on his face? That's what it's like when you take the dumpling and eat it and all the soup fills your mouth with its deliciousness. So freaking good.
1st PORK XIAO LONG BAO
Din Tai Fung, Glendale
I have heard of some people who say that Din Tai Fung is overrated. Nope. These are divine.
2nd JUMBO CHEESEBURGER POTSTICKERS
Ms Chi Cafe, Culver City
(3 pcs) Chef Shirley Chung’s Top Chef Winning Dish w/ Bacon Tomato Jam. So amazing! The Bacon Tomato Jam is perfect on this.
3rd PAN FRIED DUMPLINGS
Smorgasburg, Los Angeles
From Brothecary. Chicken filling. I scoffed at chicken (thinking it wouldn't be as good as pork) but it was so fabulous! Yum, yum, yum!
4th SHRIMP & KUROBUTA PORK POT STICKERS
Din Tai Fung, Glendale
These are so delicious! My 2nd favorite thing here now!
5th WONTONS IN CHILI OIL
Ms Chi Cafe, Culver City
Pork / Shrimp / Sichuan Pickled Vegetables. This was my daughter and husband's favorite dish! I liked it, but it's too spicy for me
6th GRILLED CHEESE, SMOKED BACON & TOMATO SOUP DUMPLINGS
Beauty & Essex, Los Angeles
Delicate dumpling. The flavors are delicious, but it doesn't really taste like grilled cheese. Doesn't matter though, I would definitely get this again! #dinela
9th JUICY PORK DUMPLINGS
Northern Cafe, Los Angeles
Are they as good as Din Tai Fung? No. But they are in the Valley and we were seated immediately! They are bigger than Din Tai Fung's and the dough is not as amazing, but we're still excited to get soup dumplings so easily.
10th GYOZO
Rococo Ramen, Los Angeles
Pan-fried, pork and vegetable served with Rococo's special dipping sauce. Crispy side was really nice. They called it gyoza, but I consider it a potsticker. I liked it better without their sauce
13th PELMENI
Traktir Restaurant Valley, Los Angeles
My favorite dish. Meat filled dumplings.
14th SPICY SHRIMP DUMPLINGS
Myungin Dumplings (명인만두), Los Angeles
Shrimp, pork and chives with a spicy oil blend. 🔥
15th CHICKEN WONTONS WITH SPICY SAUCE
Din Tai Fung, Glendale
Yummy but too spicy for me. Just right for my husband though
17th GRILLED GYOZA
Silverlake Ramen, Los Angeles
I would call this a potsticker, but they are allowed to name their dishes 😉.
19th POTATO VARENIKI
Traktir Restaurant Valley, Los Angeles
Really liked the onions on top! it tastes just like pierogies.
20th MANDU (KOREAN DUMPLINGS)
Smorgasburg, Los Angeles
From Workaholics. Combo bowl with one each of shrimp, pork and beef. Tastes great and beautiful presentation
21st MANDU
Smorgasburg, Los Angeles
From Workaholic. One shrimp and one bulgogi dumpling.
PRETTY GOOD
22nd GIANT SOUP DUMPLING
Smorgasburg, Los Angeles
From Brothecary. We thought it was going to be bigger... Pretty good, but you can get 4 pan fried dumplings for the same price (which were better)
23rd MANTI
EuroAsia Restaurant, Los Angeles
Uzbek steamed big dumplings, stuffed with lamb & beef.
25th PAN FRIED PORK & SHRIMP DUMPLINGS
Dumpling Monster, Los Angeles
$14 for 7 pieces that were mediocre... Disappointing.
26th DUMPLINGS
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, St. George
It seems weird including this in the same category with Asian dumplings. This is my first time having dumplings (of southern chicken and dumplings fame). It is very similar in flavor to chicken noodle soup only with biscuit dough instead of noodles. This was thickened, so it was the flavor of chicken soup but not as a soup. I liked it. I'd like to try it with the chicken next time (this was just a side dish)
27th POTSTICKERS
TGI Fridays, Los Angeles
